The device is mounted on a plate with notches so that it can be installed by sliding it in place. This makes it easy to update if I later want to add or change anything, or remove it entirely to use the manual knob instead.
Operation
When powering the device, the stepper motor does a homing routine so that its position is known. The user can then remotely change the target temperature of the boiler.
Maintinence
If anything needs to be serviced or inspected, the front cover can be removed to expose all of the electronics. There is a notch at the top of the box so that the cover can be easily removed with a screwdriver.
